Every month, Overton News & Views (ON&V) is delivered to all properties in Overton, Ashe, Laverstoke and Freefolk.
As well as sharing the Parish Council’s latest news, we also invite submissions from organisations and individuals in the Parish.
You will regularly find information on clubs and events, and updates from the local surgery, environment groups and transport networks to name just a few.
Delivery
ON&V is delivered by volunteers in the last few days of the month.
If you enjoy walking and would like to deliver in your local streets, we would love to welcome you to the team! You can even share the load with a friend.

Printing
ON&V is printed on sustainable paper by Bulpitt Print Ltd in Andover.
As well as being local, we choose this supplier for their use of sustainable resources and support of environmental initiatives. These include a Carbon Capture programme, which supports the Woodland Trust and the planting of native trees.

Requesting an insert
Inserts can be requested for inclusion at your expense, only if they are a good match to Parish Council policies and priorities.
In the first instance, please contact the Clerk, well in advance, as your proposal will need to be discussed at the monthly Full Parish Council Meeting.
Submission guidelines
You are welcome to submit content for the newsletter. Our Editor will include as much as space allows, at her sole discretion, and in accordance with Parish Council policies.
For the best results:
- Familiarise yourself with the deadlines and distribution dates – there is no wiggle room!
- Give the Editor some context to your group or event, so they can understand who you are and what you want to achieve.
- Be succinct! It’s important to be clear about the point you want to get across. Understand that, if you write a long piece, it will be cut down to a maximum of 75 words.
- People love facts and figures, please provide them.
- Good quality images will be considered and should be of a high enough resolution to be printed. 300dpi at 4-inches wide (1200 pixels) is sufficient in most cases.
- If your event occurs on the first few days of a month, consider submitting it to the earlier edition.
- Priority will go to events being held in the future and community thank-yous.
